The Western Safety Group has been operating since 1957 as a forum for sharing information and knowledge on occupational health and safety.

The Group is a voluntary, non - profit organisation, comprising companies, organisations and individuals from the western region of Melbourne.  These organisations and individuals come together through a common interest in promoting and developing health and safety at work and a willingness to work together to achieve this.

The regular meetings allow guest speakers to supply members with information on topics ranging from updates on legislative changes to systems for achieving better health and safety performance and management and other areas of concern in the field of occupational health and safety.  Additionally, site visits organised by the Group give members the chance to see how other organisations are meeting their OHS objectives and learn a little of what these organisations do.

Leukaemia Foundation

 World's Greatest Shave

A special request from Jacquelene Brotherton, Oxford Cold Storage

A number of you will have met Jacquelene at some of our meetings and I hope that you can get behind her and support her in this worthy venture.

Hi there

Firstly, Thank you to those who have already sponsored me!.

We have less than one month to go until it is "Time to Shave", with only 43% of my target reached I am way behind my goal. If you want to support the Leukaemia Foundation and force me to shave my hair, it is now time to get involved and help me reach my target.

The Livestock and Bulk Carriers Association are supporting me and highlighting the challenge in their "Monday update". The deal is, if we raise at least half the money via this or through NSW sponsors I will have to shave half of my head at their Annual Conference in Tamworth on March and the other half on the following Friday in Victoria.

How about we get involved on a state VS state race or the stockies VS the refrigerated industry and anyone else besides?

So how about it , please support this great cause and have a bit of fun by sponsoring me. Donations can be made via cash or cheque directly to me or by credit card via the internet. Please ensure that sponsorship goes to my shaver number. Donations over $2 are tax deductible and receipts will be issued by the Leukaemia Foundation.

I'm taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation World's Greatest Shave this year.

Take a look at my Profile Page by clicking this link: http://my.imisfriendraising.com.au/personalPage.aspx?SID=89471 (you may have to copy and paste)

I'd like you to support me by making a secure online donation using your credit card.

- Every hour of every day, at least one person in Australia is diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma.

- Every two hours, someone loses their life to blood cancer.

Please help me raise as much as I can for the Leukaemia Foundation. Their vital work provides patients with practical support during their long and tough treatment, as well as funding important research.

Thanks for your support!

Cheers

Jacquelene Brotherton
